You could also Cut the IHS off for even better cooling.

I am unsure if you can do it on any Intels... I would guess you could.?

Also heres a New heatsink.

Ste that looks like a good cpu cooler you've suggested from thermalright, whats their reputation like? Are they realiable?

Plus im not sure if you can actually get hold of this cooler yet as ive tried all there stockists in the UK and they dont have them in any.

I haven't heard too much of the Thermalright but it is supposed to be better than the TT 120...but I've never seen benchmarks or anything to confirm this.

Thermalright makes very high quality coolers. They don't come with fans so you can pick the fan you want.

I don't think their newest heatsink is out yet but it looks like it may be one of the best yet.

I got a zalman 9700 for my 4200+ and it works great. Also i got it for only 40 bucks.

My E6300 = 18C idle @ 1.86GHz
21C idle @ 2.52GHz

Arctic Silver 5, Front 120mm intake 1500RPM, rear 120mm exhaust 700RPM, side panel 92mm intake 888RPM, and the PSU fan sucking air away from Infinity. At the moment it is running 2.66Ghz at 1.300v. Temp 21-23.

EDIT: my 7600GT OC is 52C idle.

2.8Ghz now (7x400)
Seems stable. 30C after playing Oblivion.

EDIT: It is still idling @ 21-23C
