I am starting uni in September (computer animation) and am looking to build a pc, as high performance as I can manage for between £500 -- £600.
I will be using applications like 3DS Max, Maya, Adobe & Corel etc. and also want to be able to play the latest games like Crysis etc. The computer should be good enough to last me at least the next 3 years without too many overhauls. I have monitor/keyboard/speakers etc but my case is a slimline so will need a new one.
I was thinking a GeForce 8800 or better and a large hard drive ( i have 120GB at the moment and its no where near enough)
Other than that I dont know what I will need or what is the best CPU/motherboard etc is for my money.
