Default Best AGP mobo for S939 Opty 144/146?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my proc and mobo... If I were to get this:

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=289427

Or this:

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=289426

What would the best mobo be to get? I want to keep it as cheap as poss, but I also want to be able to OC the Opty I get as much as poss!

Also, the mobo must be AGP (& PCI-E as well possibly) as I can't afford to upgrade my gfx at the mo!

Thanks

B

if you can find them:

http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/...es=1&model=290

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ame=GA-K8U-939

http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l...38&modelmenu=1

I've had the Abit and Asus... and both worked very well for me...

I can vouche for the Gigabyte K8NS-Pro. Solid and reliable mobo for the money. I used it before I upgrade to PCI-E, and now runs my mom's pc.

Cool, I think I'll go for the Asrock 939Dual-VSTA, as I will want to go for a PCI-E gfx card at some point.

Are those Opterons the same as the ones I used to hear about getting to FX-50 speeds?

Thanks Shumway, appreciate that!

Really having a hard time finding one in the UK, no-one's got stock. It seems Ebay is the only way to go....
