OCZ yes, Corsair no. I have Corsair XMS Pro - which i got through a deal, i wouldnt normally have gotten it - and it doesnt overclock nearly as well as the competiton. G. Skill is the best stuff on the market IMO, and OCZ is close behind

so is this good?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231021

because its only $3 ($197) more and probably plenty more faster (being ddr500) than its $194 ddr400 version

well yea, but the timings are worse:

3-4-4-8

they'd be about the same, so your choice really

Corsair has only one good line, Valueselect lol. I have it and it doses awesome. If you add voltage to the ram you can tighten those timings even though if you OC youll have to put them back because you cant really tell the difference.

haha nice mguire,
so i think i'll just oc the ddr500 to or over the ddr400 version, so it'll be faster.

DDR500 is faster stock, what are you talking about? Are you saying your gonna tighten the timings to the 400 specifications?
