I am just doing some heavy duty copy and pasting atm so be about 2 hours until my pc is back to normal I can then take screenchots of fallout 3 and crysis. They do normally support it but sometimes you need to mod the shortcut like with battlefield 2 to get it to play widescreen.

I didn't post screenshots because crysis has native support for 16:9 and so does fallout 3 If you go to settings and video you will see the res's in the list

Yup, CS 1.6 supports only up to 1440x900.

But do you really need that many pixels for 22", because 1680x1050 is quite good, and games willl run smoother.

Yeah but not so many like 16:9 ratios some need you to set custom resolutions. Battlefield 2 doesn't even support my 1920x1200 native res I had to add a load of commends to the shortcut

A lot of newer gamees support it, but if you play a game that doesn't it will still look kind of fine.. If you set it at the right res.
