Benchmark Test!

Ok i ran 3dmark06 and got a 9000 on performance, u think i can get it up better? maybe in the 10,000's shold i ditch this mobo for a more overclockable one like the evga 680i SLi?

i think you would have to get a 680i mobo and a better SLI setup(2 7900gts or 2 8800gts)......theres no way you could hit 10,000 with that rig until you upgraded. but nice score nevertheless!!!

ps- how do you like the 7600gt SLI?? does it run games well......j/w

remember 3dmark06 is mainly a graphics benchmark and you have a 7600GT sli, you can OC as much as you want it will only improve the CPU part of the test. Your graphics card is whats keeping the score from maybe reaching 10,000.

But at the end of the day it doesn't matter, as long as the games run smooth and you have a decent fps then who cares . Oh that's a fine OC you did on that allendale E4300

06 uses alot of cpu power, so does 05... i wouldnt have hit any of my scores without overclocking my cpu

oh, and show us some screenies, or orb results

i find it hard to believe you hit 9000 with 2 7600 gt's, when two of those put together only roughly make a 7900gtx.. sure i understand overclocking.... but that would have to be one **** of an overclock

are you sure you werent doing 05?

9000's is the score of a gts

what should i overclock? i already may have maxed out my CPU, and games are pretty good, but thats cuz i only play Halo CE and Halo PC and Halo Trial (yes i'm a halo geek) at max and oblivion sometimes
