I just ordered some Arctic Cooling MX-1. I found it for $7 here:

The sweetest part of the deal was being able to specify US Parcel Post as the shipper, so it was only $2.51 for the shipping. Plus, no tax like I have to pay with NewEgg.

The only time you would pay a sales tax is when you live in the same state as the vendor. Newegg carries small tubes of Artic Silver 5 for about $5.99 like the OEM price seen at Newegg.com - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - OEM

NewEgg has warehouses in TN, NJ, and CA, so I get the pleasure of paying taxes with them.

Besides, that tube of AS5 would have cost me $11 w/shipping. I got a better product for $9.50 w/shipping.

You found something that tops AS5? That would be good to here besides the epoxy type of application seen with Liquid Pro.

I think MX-1 has always been better than AS5. It's just that AS5 has been recommended so much, that few has heard of the MX-1, until recently.
