Default Back and still no Rig lolz

Yea so I been gone a while.. and decided to come back to the forums... to find some info.. and realize I once again have been gone "too long" in the PC world, the old rig I had planned out (didn't get to buy due to my car exploding) doesn't even seem like people look at anymore,

So a question arises.

Spend some money and buy a Q9550 rig now with non DDR3 RAM, or wait even longer for those new ones, DDR3 and Mobos to drop in price range a bit?

PC will be used for heavy gaming, video editing and the like.

Neweggs prices are rediculously low for DDR2 800 RAM and such almost bought some but came here first to read the news. (4GB DDR2 for 30 bucks...)

So, reccomend me a rig and save me 100 painful hours of reading old info and trying to figure out 'whats decent'

Want PC to last a few years with minor upgrades, so shooting for a
Q6600/Q9550
4GB DDR2
PCI expresse x16 2.0 (x2) slots
Good Fan cooled (or if were cheap enough.. liquid) Case
(if cheap enough, liquid cooling things...)
GPU needs to be 'mid range' on the upper side of it. (will possibly go 2 GPU)
Fantastic modular Power Supply to run it all

Thanks.. now to take some aspirin and head to work. lol.

^^ The HD 4870 1gb performs better than the core 216 at high resolutions.
