Default ATI X1950xtx

How much faster is the new 1950xtx suppose to be in comparison to the 1900xtx? Because i can buy a 1900xtx right now for $325 off newegg, but I'm wanting to wait till the 14th till this new card comes out. but is the proformance jump going to be really insane? $325 compared to about $550. i would rather buy the 1900 if the 1950 wont be a 7950gx2 slayer.

I get that all the time, yes I do have a very good card already, but I want the best of the best. Mine glitchs in games like fear and oblivion and I want gameplay to be flawless. (bragging rights are also good, but thats beside the point, lol) It also laggs in the sims 2 when I have more than 5 people in the house at once or if its a very big house.

Well, the X1950XTX beats the 7950GX2 in pretty much every benchmark at those resolutions so u can take the GX2 out if it was every an option. I have a X1900XT and its OCed past an XTX right now, runs great with my not yet OCed X2 3800+. Either with the 1900 or 1950 you'll have excelent gamin results, although, if the inquirer is right, R600 would be the card to wait for. 64 pixelpipelines .

Remember, the 1950 has a 500Mhz more memory clock speed vs. the 1900. And don't forget to OC it

when will the r600 come out? and will the 1950xtx be DX10 compatible? i will probally just get the 1950, but I WOULD like it to be DX10, but if its not then I can wait to upgrade again, it should run fine with vista anywayz.

R600 is due for november/december. the 1950 is not DX10, but it will run vista along with all DX9 cards just no eye candy. Just a thought, but you could get a cheap X1600XT (if your an ATI fanboy like me ) or a 7600GT to hold you off till DX10. From all the articles i have found about R600, its supposed to be amazing. 800Mhz core clock, 64 pixelpipelines (real ones), 2.0Ghz memory clock........ ::drools::

Holy Crap I knew about the Pipelines but not the speeds, thats like freggin unreal. Thats definatly going to cost a pretty penny though, I mite get a cheaper high end card to hold off till then, even though mine should do just fine.

Ana I am an ATI Fanboy too, Have never bought anything Nvidia
