Read that first thing this morning when checking all the tech sites I read. Pretty disappointing performance even in comparison to price.

I knew that HD2600 was going to be slower than 8600GTS long time ago. Because MSI said that in this website

So, I'm not surprised

However, there are going to be an AGP version of HD2600XT

AnandTech: More Mainstream DX10: AMD's 2400 and 2600 Series
I was shocked after I looked at the benchmarks from this website ^^, because even the old 7600GT and X1650XT beats HD2600pro in many cases

what happened to the 8600ultra's? are they the lousy 8600gts??

so much sites with different reviews and different performance which one you trust? anandtech's pretty realiable though.

and 8800GTS is like $150 more.

i think no one would buy it. unless it was 256 bit and gddr4
