Asus P5B owners I need your help!

Okay, so the motherboard did not come with a CD-ROM data cable and then after reading the manual there was no mention of where the mobo connector for CD-ROM / DVD-ROMs were.

Anyone know if you can just plug the cable into the PR-IDE data or do you actually have to use a DVD-ROM that uses an SATA connection with this mobo?

Its the IDE port. The retail version comes with an IDE cable.

So does the CD/DVD-Rom just use that?

Yeah. Unless you've got a SATA drive but probably not.
