Default Asus Ares

Currently said to be the best Graphics Card on the planet, Ares is an upgrade that you will want to get. It will keep your enemies away for years to come. This screamer card is a Dual GPU Card, which means that it contains 2, not 1, ATI Radeon HD 5870s in ONE card. It is equiped with 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM, while only taking up 2 expansion slots, while using only 1 PCIe X16 slot.

(Look at those large Heatsinks!)

With a price of $1099.99 (Newegg), and coming with the Asus Rampage III Formula Mainboard and ROG Mouse, it's a good choice to add on your holiday shopping list.

Shipping with a clock speed of 850MHz and a memory speed of 4800Mhz, there is currently no card (even overclocked) that can beat this beast of a card. Don't forget that this whole package comes in a dual-expansion slot-configuration that can still support Quad CrossfireX, with a total of 16GB of DEDICATED GDDR5 VRAM in ADDITION to all of the other components in your heavenly rig. Come buy it now for only $1099.99 with an additional ROG mouse and LGA1366 motherboard!

Spam fail. 1 Crossfire finger means only 2 cards together meaning 8GB of total Vram.

eh... i dont get it, this is already old news.

btw, it's pretty obvious this isn't a "dual-expansion slot-configuration" card. the bracket may take up only 2 slots but the cooler will increase that to 3, possibly 4 slots.

and yes there is currently a card that can (technically, barely) beat this, sapphire 5970 toxic .

How do you figure 2 bogged down 5870s can beat 2 fully fledged 5870s? This logic surpasses me. The Toxic is just overclocked, so OC this.

idk what you mean. the toxic does have everything 2x 5870's would have, just like the ares. with everything else being the same between them it would just come down to clock speeds since they are both pre-OCed cards. their mem clocks are the same but the toxic has 50mhz on the ares on core clocks, so... it's the faster card no?

ofcourse this is all assuming they are kept at stock, i havn't looked around to see what either of them can further OC to.
