ASUS Goes for the Gigabyte

ASUS announced the EN8800GT/HTDP/1G, an Nvidia GeForce 8800-based graphics card with a full 1GB of onboard memory.

1gb RAM... i guess this will make the people who wanted the 8800gtx because of teh RAM appealed more towards the 8800gt now

But will there be any benefit? Doesn't seem like there would be because theres not a huge difference in the 256mb and the 512mb version unless your on really high res. And theres the 256bit.

but the RAM speed in the 8800 GT is slower then GTX n it has a 256-bit memory bus, so whether the extra RAM is gonna increase performance by a lot idk. I the only differ i would see is that the 8800 GT will run better in higher resolutions, like 1680x1050 n above.
