I heard this was really good. The tape on my cpu is almost worn off so its running at 55 C on normal load I have a question though, once you put it on what's the best way to take the heatsink off the cpu afterwards? I took the heatsink off my brothers computer and found out I tore the cpu off with it. No damage but it scared me to death XD

if its held down with the little metal thing then it shouldnt come off wen u lift the heatsink... you can sort of slide sideways and lift aswell.

Lol... ya I ripped my cpu out wi/ mine too... Try turning rotating it to losen it, then take it off.

Depends on your socket. Socket 939/754 use the little switch thing and pull the heatsink off vertically.

Most other ones have a little metal clip that you undo with a flat headed screwdriver.

that happened to tobies Athlon 64 3000+ when he was installing AS5.

there is almost as bad as a 50/50 chance of it happening with the stock thermal pads. make sure that the pc is flat (as in turn it on its side if it is a tower) and make sure to lift straight up. that way if the cpu does come out you won't bend the pins.
