Anyone use tigerdirect barebone kits?

not really, most barebone kits are pretty lowend or over priced

I got a pretty good deal (or so I thought) on one for a cheaper build for a pc for dad's Christmas present 2 yrs ago, Had so much trouble with that one, MB ended up being crap so I sent it in for RMA, but Tiger said I had to send it to Gigabyte (there board) so off it went for a few weeks, and when I got it back it still wouldn't boot up without massive errors, So i put a cheap extra PC CHIPS MB I had as an extra in and its been running since. There bare bones systems are not always bad, but the service at Tiger really isn't very good especially compared to Newegg. I rarely buy from tiger anymore, Newegg's shipping is cheaper too.

Much better deals can be had if you look around.
