No no I don't have a i7, I don't have the motherboard or CPU yet, but everything else I have or ordered already.

Aluminum itself is just as strong w/o the weight, theres a reason why commercial jets are made of aluminum.

Partially true aluminium is not as strong volume to volume as steel and a lot of case manufacturers cheat like coolermaster and make there cases from aluminium but merely change the material not the design. Aluminium needs to be thicker to have the same strength as steel so 1mm doesn't really cut it. Lian li and silverstone being specialists in Aluminium casing use thicker sheet metal sometimes upto 2.5mm that gives a much more rigid structure.

Aeroplanes are made from an aluminium skin but this merley keeps the shape of the plane it alone would falter under a bird strike, so it is reinforced with a layer of glass over the top (not sheet glass fibreglass) which greatly increases the impact strength and thus stops the plane decrompressing.

Umm airplanes don't have a "glass" skin. its just aluminum. You are probably thinking about the windscreens which may or may not be rated for bird strikes.

Glass is a very heavy, rigid, and brittle material. Totally unsuited for aircraft. In the aricraft you tend to see aluminum, zinc, nickel, and titanium. Steel is simply Iron with a high concentration of carbon and it too heavy to be used in any large amount on an aircraft.
