antec PSU question

So currently i have an antec smartpower 2.0 450w powersupply in my antec sonata II case.

When i upgrade to an E8400 and 8800 GT,GTS or 9800 if i wait long enough, will this power supply be sufficient. Ill also have 2 harddrives, 2 dvd drives, 2 120mm fans.
I always hear people talking about number of rails, and amps. So i want to know what are those things people look for in a good power supply, and does mine have it?

yea its enough for 1 videocard and dual core proccesor. What too look for in a power supply is the total number of amperage in all the 12v rails combined so you got 15+17, most people will recomend 30 amps.

What a lot of people don't know is that high powered computer systems are more efficent with one single high powered 12v rail is better than having multiple less powerful 12v rails. But of course your power supply will serve your well.
