Another PSU thread...

Plan on using something similar to this build was wondering if a Corsair 550vx Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies would be able to run this list... and also if theres anything I could refer to to understand PSU's a little better, and see how much play I have left in it...

Rampage Formula or Maximus II Formula
Q6600 (high OC)
8800GTX (maybe some OC)
Swiftech Laing DDC MCP355 pump
3x120mm fans on rad
couple case fans
2x optical drives
Sound card
2x2gb Corsair Dominator PC2-8500
HD obvioulsy, possibly a seond one coming

Not certain if I'm missing anything else that it would be powering, but you get the idea

That'll do you fine, only I recommend getting a 750TX if you plan on getting a second GPU in future.
Btw, you might want to look at the Corsair 520HX, I dunno about price but it's modular.

I would agree to grab something alittle stronger just for future upgrades. A nice psu is a great investment anyway you look at it.
