Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors

probably would be best to go with an intel rig for around your same price range :|

btw, what do you mean by battery? only battery in computers that i know of are on the motherboard, and you shouldn't need to change those around

I agree on the Q6600, but buy it from Fry's (unless you're a die-hard AMD Fanboy)

get one of these boards:
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
Newegg.com - MSI P45 Neo-F LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

I'm pretty sure you can get a 9600gt for less than the price of that HD 3870 or you could get this:

Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H387QS512NP Radeon HD 3870 512MB 256-bit GDDR4 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported IceQ3 Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
