Another 8 series? This is madness! No this is NVIDIA!

NVIDIA is going to release yet another revision to its GeForce 8 family, the GeForce 8800GS 192-bit 384MB and 768MB. A quick look at the chart below will tell you the differences between the 192-bit 8800GS and other 8 series. The price tag of 8800GS 384MB will be 1199CNY or about 164USD, while the 768MB version will cost 1499CNY (~204USD). Redirect here for some more pics and results.

They're really milking this whole 8 series. Makes me wonder if they're just throwing these cards out to the public to keep our minds off the 9 series which very well could have some bugs.

That's just the way it is. nvidia knows they have a hyped-up series of GPUs with a killer reputation, and they're milking all the money they can out of it. If it wasn't for ATI failing to produce faster cards, we probably would have had the 9 series in November.
