Default AMD vs Intel? which should i go with?

alright everyone has there opinions on AMD vs Intel, and before i go head and build my first computer, i just wanna know should i go intel or AMD. Here are a few CPU's im comparing right now and i just want an opinion which one to go with. (the reason im asking is my and my uncle where talking about it, and i was fighting for AMD, while he was fighting for Intel) i mean i know hands down the i5 and i7 are better then what AMD has out right now, but what about there other CPUs

notes: this will be for a gaming rig. and im looking to spend between 150-200 bucks on the cpu.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz

if i did end up going AMD i would go with the 955, and just overclock it to match and/or out perform the 965.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz

Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHz

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz

Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz

so intel or amd? and which cpu would you guys go with?

If you go Intel go for the i5 not any of the socket 775 processors.

Either the PII or i5 are great chips.
