Default Amd Gaming build.

My Current build:

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc SATA 3.5IN Hard Drive

Powercolor Radeon HD 6970 880MHZ 2GB 5.5GHZ

Cougar SX Series SX850 850W ATX 24PIN 69A 12V 80PLUS Silver

Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 AMD890FX ATX AM3 DDR3 3PCI-E 3-WAY CrossFireX 2GBLAN

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core Processor AM3 3.4GHZ 8MB
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 6 Core Processor 3.2GHZ

G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Memory

Price tag with a case, windows and config: $1300

Couple questions for yall:

A. As far as i know i'd gain a performance increase from the 6 to 4 core cpu because the clock is slightly higher as games wont ever use six cores in the foreseeable future, correct?

B. Will this amd CPU work natively with 1600mhz ram or will there me some monkeying around to get it going?

The 4 cores will give you better gaming performance since its clock speed is higher. And the ram should work just fine as long as your motherboard supports that speed...however, I can't seem to be able to load the website that it links to, so I cannot be sure.
