Yeah I've been sticking with the American spellings and none of my professors have said anything, so I assume it's all gravy.

I prefer to use real English.
Australian English only has very few differences to English English.

come to think of it, I don't even know what those differences are. apart from the accent.

If it's not real English then why is that spelling included in the OED?
