DailyTech - AMD Announces R680, RV620, RV635 Graphics Cores

the high-end R680 has just been announced to come out January. Same can be said for the RV620 n RV635, which carries the 2nd gen UVD. All 55nm.

god...stop the production....its just getting ridiculous...at this rate...by 2010 they will be producing new GPUs EVERY month...

Yeah they needa slow down a lil bit. I wanna keep using this card for at least 1.5-2 years lol.

agreed.....i wont be upgrading my 8800GT for long time....maybe just add a second one lol!

Wow... do you guys read?

We had a pretty good idea about this several weeks ago:

R680 = The dual gpu, single board (It'll probably perform a little better than two 3870s in Crossfire and cost around the same as two 3870s)

RV620, RV635 = The mid and entry-level HD3xxx cards (ie. HD3600 & HD3400)





So no need to worry about why you got those 8800GT...

Plus, we already know 9 Series is coming out February, so what's the big deal?
