My friend wants to buy a new gaming rig, but he doesn't want to build it. So I have been going through newegg and this seems like a good deal. Any thoughts? Are there better options for the $? His budget is $1000, but the cheaper the better.

Tell him that he is dumb for not wanting to build it himself and is wasting money. That computer has an outdated chipset probably value ram, and a crappy PSU.

But as stated before you can get it maybe $200+ cheaper if he builds himself.

Usually Cyberpower charges $200-$500 more than its really worth

I recommend you get the Barebone rig from Cyberpower's site and for stuff like Video Card, RAM, HD's, Optical Drives choose none, and buy those things of Newegg and add them yourself, because they overprice mostly on that stuff and put those parts in it yourself

so get a q6600, AF7, Enermax 550w (thats the most decent PSU they had last time I checked), some P35 board

ah no, they over charge just as much as alienware...i build a desktop off ncix then one on cyberpowerpc and there was a 900 difference.
