Default Alienware memory upgrade help

i just bought a alienware m9700 but i did want to pay the redicouls prices for all the upgrades. im looking to upgrade the ram. the m9700 is using
# Dual-Channel DDR SDRAM at 400MHz
# 2 dedicated SO-DIMM slots for Dual-Channel DDR Memory

Im wondering if i can use this ram
(2 x 1GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Dual Channel Kit Notebook Memory

Newegg.com - Crucial 2GB (2 x 1GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Dual Channel Kit Notebook Memory - Retail

Agreed, with taintedplay. You should be looking for this, instead:
Newegg.com - CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Notebook Memory - Retail

No RAM is "good" for gaming. It'll perform the same as any other DDR 400 1 GB stick of RAM.

basically that u have 2 sticks of memory running at same speeds and capacity at once. dual channel is mostly a marketing scam, wen they sell it as dual channel it is no diff from buying 2 of the same sticks separately.
