Default Alienware laptop for $800?

Okay i was just browsing some local for sale thingys, and came across this 3 month old alienware laptop. here's the specs:

It was born 3 months ago. No scratch what so ever. The price is not negotiable.

isn't this an insanely low price? Is the processor part made up cause 3.8ghz....seems kinda high... what chu think?

it seems like a decent price but part of it is the fact that they have used a dektop model P4 rather than a P4M or or Pentium M. they use a heck of a lot of power so don't expect great battery life and it will produce a lot of heat.

i just checked ebay for the same model and its going for 1800+, i dont really care about battery life since itll be plugged into my wall and heat, well i need heat in my room.

Buy it up. If it's going for 1800+ on eBay you might as well get it if you can for 800.

I wouldn't buy it. Sounds phishy.

Either it is a scam or there is something else wrong with it. It may not have scratches, but that doesn't mean it has a motherboard.

Try contacting the owner and get pictures and more details.

Edit: Has the ad been deleted?

Sounds really fishy and odd, as that's really a great setup.

The kid must be desperate for drugs or something, to sell it for that cheap :P

I'd buy it, but as others have said, it's going to be heavy, hot, and short on battery life.

If you don't like it, you could always resell it on ebay for probably 1.5 or 2 times as much as you bought it and at least make a profit.
