Default Ageia Video Card

I was just surfing the web and was bored. I found some cards made my Ageia. Ive never really heard of them and was just wondering what you guys know.

they arent video cards.. they're physics processors.. as you can see they have no video in plugs in there

its simply made to let the load off the cpu of doing physics calculations.. but only certain games are utilize this process.. such as GRAW1 and 2.. and unreal tournament 3

those are Physx processors, not video cards. They calculate physics...and they suck...a lot.

Complete waste of money

i hear of good things in the future for them.. but i dunno, i won't fall into it anytime soon... w/ quad cores.. and octa-cores in 2009.. or late 2008? i don't think we'll find need for these

yeah with multicore CPUs and graphics cards with onboard physics processors there's no need for a dedicated PPU

very few games support it.. as for telling the difference.. it just adds in certain effects.. like added particles and what not.. but from certain users. they say it increases the load on the graphics card because of all the added textures

Apparently when it's in use everything goes into slo-mo most of the time as well.
