Just use the one built on your motherboard if your going to have a wired connection, no point getting a nic just for gaming since your not going to see much difference. I prefer this setup better than wireless, since it's faster and more reliable, less prone to interference.

If you want a wireless connection for your computer, than I guess you'll need a new nic. I have no clue on what is good right now.
