Thanks for all the advice and help in my last post. I really appreciate it.

I am a bit confused on the importance of the stepping code on the CPU's. Can someone explain or just tell me what stepping code for the Opteron 170, Manchester 4200 and 3800 would be the best or most current to look for? This is the code under the model number marked on the CPU. I am pretty sure the stepping code should look like this CAxxx 05xxxxxx, x=number or letter.

Just a refresh;
The main purpose for a new system;
DVD editing (Home Video not sure of software yet)
Image editing (PhotoShop 7)
Burning CDs and DVDs (probably NERO)
Little web stuff and surfing
Over Clocking
Not really a gamer, may load some old games like MechWarrior and the DVD version of Myst. OS type XP.

I am pretty sure I am going with a dual core. I just need help with deciding which one. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Would the possibility of over clocking the Opteron 170 to a higher frequency over the Manchester of the GHz? Are the multipliers unlocked for these Opterons?

AMD Opteron 170 Denmark 2.0GHz w/1GHz FSB 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester 2.2GHz w/1GHz FSB 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Manchester 2.0GHz, 1GHz FSB 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor

Would this cooling solution be OK for a Dual Core Processor or should I bump it to the XP-120?
