PC2100? I'm sure the motherboard supports up to 3200.

my bad, that should say OCZ pc3200, not pc2300. Correct me if i'm wrong, RAID 0 is breaking up data and placing it over a number of HDDs, amd RAID 1 is when two HDDs run in sync and back up data. is that right? so if i put two HDDs in RAID 0, it would run much faster and i'd have the accumulated amount of memory provided by the two.

okey, thanks, this is what i have now

Antec p180 case
DFI Lanparty nF4 SLi-DR
ASUS extreme 7800gtx, 256mb
AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+
Antec Neo-HE 500w PSU
OCZ pc3200 platinum ram 2x1012mb
SONY SONY DDU161288B DVD drive
x2 SEAGATE ST3160812AS Barracuda 160GB in RAID 0

that sounds pretty much right i think, the only thing left is what cooling I'd need. I'm still unsure whether ill be overclocking or not, but regardless it would still be running hot. would the fans that come with the case be sufficient to keep it cool?
