I know a ton of people here have this case (its in my sig). I want to try and add another fan to there since my system temp isn't as low as I would like, plus my 8800GTS really heats up my case once it gets going. My question is where would I put it. I was thinking it would be good if I could put another may 120mm fan under my optical drives since there is a ton of empty space there to pull air in from the front and push to the back fan.

So has anyone added a fan to this case, I'm not really sure how the fans hook up to the case (meaning how the screw in and stuff)

Thanks,
Blue

Cool man, thx for the reply. I'll prob do the same thing, I was wondering how to mount it. Plus I got order some round IDE cables (well one) anyway.
Did it help any with temps BTW?

The front case fan that I added definitely causes more dust to build up on the front of the PC. Wiping it down always helps and works better than compressed air.

Case temps dropped slightly, I think I needed a more powerful fan to be honest.

LOL you think your wires are messy :) Right now the inside of my case looks like a bag full of wires (I was just in a hurry when I put it together). I'm thinking of rewiring everything(nicely) this weekend. Did you change the stock fan on your Cpu cooler (it looks like an Artic Freezer but with lights :)). Thx for the help, and sorry to keep bugging you.

Its the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme with a Thermaltake A2018 fan attached to it. I got another zalman 80mm fan blowing over the memory.

Get yourself a bunch of zip ties and get all those wires in order.

use ribbon ties man...

Not sure what you mean by ribbon ties, I looked it up but all I found were womens clothing accessories:rolleyes:

I don't think I wont to use zip ties cause I'll have to cut them off when ever I want to remove them, I was think of just using twist ties (like the ones that come with trash bags).

my cable management sucks - it used to look a lot better but after adding and removing hardware all the time I just got sick of it dealing with it.

Round cables will definitely help keep things organized and allow air to flow better.

Hey UA_Iron,

What case is that? I was just wondering, because I'm getting a TR Ultra-120 Extreme, and kinda concerned about how tight the fit will be, in a mid-tower case.

edit: Nevermind, that's the Centurion 5. But how tight is the fit for the Extreme in that case?
