OK here we go, I am seriously thinking about ordering these two items for my aurora 7500. I've been wanting a very high end graphics card, and I got the money to do it (only gotta convince my parents to buy the monitor as a late birthday present ;))

So here is exactly what I am thinking about ordering:

Absolutely SICK monitor. Not only does it look absolutely amazing, but it has those input things (I dont know what its called), where I could plug in tv stuff (haha I know I love using technical terms), such as my xbox 360. It has a 800:1 contrast ratio, a 9 ms response, and just looks badass. A little expensive, though.

Sapphire graphics card. Well, im no computer wiz, but this card looks good for its price. It seems to be a bit cheaper than some other stuff out there, but I am still a bit confused about all the specs and stuff.

I am going to order from THESE sites, soon. Please tell me if I am making any mistakes before I make the plunge.

I second the X1900XT, even un-OCed the XT is usually just 1-5 fps lower then the XTX in most cases; the Sapphire X1900 XT retail looks good, 460 off newegg (OEM doesn't come with the extra software and retail box, just to let you know). I would get the 20" LCD that john3 shown, I would love to have a 20" 1600x1200 LCD, but they're so expensive.

This monitor is 100 dollars more than the one I was thinking, does not look nearly as badass, and has the exact same specs (8 ms response, 800:1 contrast ratio, but is not widescreen). I dont see how it is better.

And as for getting the XT. Well this I have been debating, I posted it on the oblivion forums.. http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=352234&st=0
and I got a lot of opinions saying get the xtx.

I hear the 1900 series runs very hot, and I am no computer master so I dont want to deal with a very hot video card and overclocking.. :/

Oh and you said "OEM doesn't come with the extra software and retail box." So does this mean there is a 10 dollar difference between getting the retail and the one with only the card.. (I searched on new egg and found those two cards for Sapphire X1900 XT).

I'm guessing it is definetly worth it to get the box and software for a measly ten bucks.

Edit:

I just looked up the Sapphire x1900 XTX and its only 50 bucks more! 500 dollars all together. I think 40 bucks might be worth it for a better cooling system, specs, and overclocked already. I would feel much more comfortable with the purchase..

here are the reason why the LG L2000 are better....is because it IS, ask 003 he knows more about it than i do. he'll give a detailed response.

haha but honestly, if I am not going to be able to tell THAT much of a difference, I'd much rather go with the ferrari monitor that is 100 dollars less, it is just plain cooler. I am no connoisseur of monitors, I just want one that will be pretty badass.

just talk to 003, he knows a lot about the LG L2000, cause i think he has one, not sure.......well that was the impression that i got.......lol :p
