Well whoever said that is wrong...the 8800GTS g92 has a 256bit memory interface and is made of 65nm transistors.

The 9800GTX is not different from the 8800GTS g92, except for tri-sli and a few more caps on the pcb to stabilize voltage for slightly higher clocks.

The original 8800gts only had 96 pipes compared to the 8800gtx's 128.

they're refferening to the G92 model, not the G80.

The 9 series won't be in full swing until the gt200 chips come out.

I don't think it would be the 9 series by then. More like the 10 series or something like that.
