Default 8800Ultra vs HD3870 X2 comparison

Please people check this
Radeon 3870 X2 full review out - VR-Zone IT & Lifestyle Forum!

HD3870 X2 performs very well in 3dmark, but in gaming it is slightly faster than 8800Ultra on average, and it sometimes performs worse

Decent showing for it, I say. The 3870 is not a direct contender with the 8800 Ultra, so anything close is a good thing for ATI. Makes me wonder how the next set of chips will perform...

The lower resolution performance really impresses me, it works much better at 1280x1024 than I thought it would do... Seems like ATi is on to a winner here.

The x2 will be a lot cheaper than an ultra. Also, crossfire lets you use an intel chipset so thats a big win for most people.

Hmm apparently it uses as much power as an ultra

The RV770 is supposed to come out about the same time as the 9800. Of course, that remains to be seen... but it could be interesting.
