meh, people find the 256mb too weak to run stuff at high resolutions... lets see those 8800gt 512mb's come back!!

Yep, I got excited the first time I saw that price too. Then I saw the 256 It's not a big difference until you turn up the resolution, which I fully plan to do.

ya.. its so stupid that they made the 256mb be the retail price of the 512mb was supposed to be

the 256 still performs very well...i recommend them for people who use 19inch screen resolutions or less and to combine it with no more than 2xAA. If you only play even most of the newest games out and to come with only 2xAA and maybe 8 or 10xAF then the 256mb will perform just about as well as the 512 for another 8-12 months I would bet you. At 1280x1024 only 2xAA is needed anyway to eliminate just about all jagged edges.
