8800GT + VGA Cooling upgrad

I think its time I upgraded my GPU. Heres what im thinking..

I also need some suggestions on a good VGA cooling fan for it, this happens to be the subject I know little about, so throw whatever you got at me.

Just turn the fan speed up to 50%. The reason these cards run so hot is because the fan only spins at 29% by default. Right now the only aftermarket cooling solutions i know of are all made for something else and have to be tweaked to fit the GT. I know thermalright has a GT model coming out soon though.

I have an 8800GTX - How can I turn my fan speed up? I run hot because I OC'd a bit but I'm trying to save the cash for a nice waterblock

Get rivatuner. It allows you to adjust the fan speed.

from what I know its a great AM vga cooler. but its highly unnecessary imo. you dont even know what temp your gt is running at yet XD after turnign up the fan speed you should be fine. People OC these without AM cooling.
Course if you want it anyhow from what I hear it works well.
I can't say if it fits the gt though :S It could.

The plus wont fit. TR is coming out with a GT model. The new gpu on the card doesnt have the heatshield like the g80 chips did.

Akubane, the reason i want one is because ive read that the cards run hot, its also factory overclocked (700Mhz), and I do game ALOT, but failed to upgrade untill now.

Also i run 2 GT cards in SLI and have no problems with the temps. Even at 700/2000 i barely hit 70C with the fan set to 50%
