850$-1000$ gaming budget

Im looking to build a good machine with a 1k budget max but im looking to save some money for some good games and maybe a better MP3 player. Here's what i have so far

Mobo:
DFI lanparty Ultra-D

Hard Drive:
western digital 250gb

RAM:
PQI turbo 1g (not sure how good PQI overclocking is but its PC4000)

Video card:
EVGA 6800GS

Case:
Aspire X-CRUISER

CD/DVD-RW drive:
NEC DVD-RW

CPU:
AMD opteron 146

Power Supply:
Fortron 450w PSU

the budget also includes monitor, mouse, and keyboard and it adds up to around 1000$.

Any suggestions? this wont be for awhile cause i ****ed off my parents, it was suposed to be around my birthday (feb. 17) but my f*cking report card.so you could suggest M2 Sockets

All you need is microsoft word and your credit card is as good as your parents want it to be . LIke my parents anything but A's was crap.. so if i got a b+ it became an A . Then when i was 18 i told them and laughed at their reaction.


As far as your computer goes it looks like a decent build, i dont know about the ram though.

I don't like the case.

The RAM should be fine as long as you aren't planning on going much above 250 without a divider.
