Default $8000 dollar budget

it may seem a bit much ... but i have the money now, and i want to spend it on an Ub3r 0p7!m!z3d system.

yes ... i've alloted 8000 dollars to be spent on my new system.

what should i get?

fx-57 or x2 4800??

two 7800GTX's?

whats up with SATA300??

You should buy a Dell. They are great computers. You should spend the whole 8G's on a Dell. That would be uber leet dude.

do you really need someone to tell you what to get with 8k clams? just get the most expensive of everything, lol.

FX-57
Dual ATI RADEON X1800XT's in Crossfire
2gigs of high quality ram
a couple terabytes of storage on 3G hard drives
...you get the picture.

is that like SLI?

i thought only nvidia did that


besides ... im gunna go with dual 7800GTXs....

what about things like qud opteron and what not ... what that all about

I think he can go a little bigger the 17" for an LCD for an 8,000 dollar budget.

Sure he can go bigger, but the bigger u get with LCD's, the lower the pixel pitch, meaning less image quality and response time also can go up which means, games might not respond as Fast. But ya he can go bigger.
