Yea, I have a 4850X2. It's treating me pretty good right now So I'll probably ride it out for another year. It's just about 1 year old.
I have a 1200w Corsair PSU in stock, so in the future If I decided to grab another 4850X2, I could certainly run them both in Crossfire. Although, they have been discontinued by sapphire and all that are remaining are going up in price. Amazon has them for $250, 1 month ago they were $189 on newegg.
So is there anything else coming out in the next 6 months "CPU" wise? Anything worth the wait?

Not really, Core i3 is supposed to come out which is supposed to replace Core 2's in general.
Also the 6-core Hyperthreaded stuff from Intel is coming, idk when that is, but as far as I know its LGA 1366 only, so you'd have to use the i7 920, Triple Channel and whatnot.
