Everywhere I'm reading says the 7900GTX is still going to be 24 Pipes.

7900 is 256 and the GTX is 512.

One good thing is it looks like this will be a cheaper series, with the 7900GT starting at near the $300 range. This is good news since everybody will need to upgrade when Vista comes out for DX10 anyways. Don't try to say you won't, because if you don't want to be playing emulated DX9, you will need to upgrade.
