7900gt is good but not that good

MrCoffee go with the 7900s, there is nothing wrong with it. its the best card on the market, and the 7900GT is the second best out there, and if you got the extra dough go with the GTX. Dont be discouraged by this Thread.

well idk john3 ive seens ome benchies and the x19 and x18 arnt too bad, even considering the bianess, i think the best choice is your own, i used to be NVIDIA NVIDIA NVIDIA everything but ever since my friend got a x1800xt his games seem to play better than mine and his specs are pretty much the same as mine. also just a little adive you might want to reduce the size of your sig, its alittle long. just to let you know or you can just make the font alittle smaller

this benchmark is probly bias but its the only one i canf ind that i havent seen yet which only reassured my thoughts

ya.. that benchmark was a bit bias, half-life 2 is optimized for ati. But its still a good run no doubt

Sounds feasible that they are comparable, but the 7900GT<7800GTX~X1800XT.

The X1800XT beats the 7800GTX more than vice versa, I'd say, but the 7900GT is faster than the 7800GTX and has amazing OC ability.

theres the bench mark, pretty fair in my opinion and when you factor in that x1800xt can do FSAA and AF. i think the x1800xt just beats out the 7900gt

your passion and instincts on nvidia are correct. the benchmarks are wrong.
