I know how you feel. It's past time for me to upgrade so I'll make the move on the 7900.

You have a 6800GT. It is most certainly not time for you to upgrade. I would still have my 6800GT if it hadn't died on me.

This says its one minute of directX 10 gameplay on the new Cryengine from Crytek it looks amazing.

Wow...very impressive, way moreso than the usual refresh. This is almost like a whole generational change rather than a refresh from the amount of performance that will be gained. These cards are comming out just in time for Oblivion too, which will likely need the power that these cards provide.

I am going to wait for the G80 definately, even if I have to hold off on buying new games due to my 1280x1024 requirement.

Te 7900GT sounds like a 7800GTX to me. See like i told you, its just a beefed up version of the G70. Im going to get 7800GS and that will be my last card for quite some time.

I have the old 478 socket. I plan on going with the new AMD socket so you know what that means, agb goodbye, hello pci-express.
