7800GTX Brands

Hello,

Im upgrading soon and have a basically free choice of any card (not sli)

so im going with the 7800GTX but there is quite a range.
I am choosing from this list

and i can afford the $891 card but i dont know if i really need it.

I have some questions.

1. Whats the differance between

Leadtek PX7800GTX Extreme
GeForce 7800 GTX TDH 256MB DDR3 VIVO HDTV out, DVI

Leadtek F7800GTX TDH MV 256MB PCI Express Graphics Card PX7800GTX TDH


2. Whats VIVO?
3. Whats HDTV out (we can get HDTV in Aus but i know nothing about it)
4. Why is only the Extreme labled with DDR3?
5. What are the defult clocks of the normal 7800GTX.. because the extreme clocks are GPU/Memory clock 490/1250MHz


I basically have the money to get any card i want.. but i am going to wait to see how Atis new card performs... because i am an ATI fanboy. Can someone please tell me the release day again? i can see a counter on ATIs site.. but i dont know if thats for the R520.

But then I read that you had already wrote that....

They will be released tomorrow October 5th. X1800, X1800XL, X1800XT.

Oh, I would pretty much say that they will. The 7800 series has been out for what now a few months? ATI had a fair amount of time to Benchmark the 7800 series and analyse the 7800's performance verse their new cards.

You think ATI doesn't have Hundreds of Nvidia cards in their R&D department tearing them apart and benchmarking the crap out of them in comparison to theirs???

Then tweak and tune their cards to out perform the competition...
pffff.... no they aren't doing that....

vivo i remeber but i forget
3 high definition TV.
the extreme is alreayd overclocked for you. i think its like 450.1200

that really did'nt answer my questions.. i know what they stand for.. but what would i use VIVO for?

also what would HDTV in a card do? can i get HDTV on my computer??

VIVO = Video In Video Out.

1) You can connect your video card to a HDTV (High Definition Television), or a regular TV with S-Video input, provided you have the additional cables.

2) Your video card accepts Video In(put). Connect your Sky box, surveilance camera etc through your card.


Oh, and the 7800 GTX uses GDDR3. Don't know why it's labeled as regular DDR3 though (even on the retail box itself)...

Default is 450/1200.
