Default 7800GT and Unreal Engine 3

i just want to know cause i cant live without playing UT2007 as soon as it comes out that if a 7800GT will run is smoothly on high setting or at least on medium settings cause im not going to upgrade for about a year and a half when i build it for my birthday in feb.

i wouldn't be to worried about it. the original UE3 tech demo was done on a single 6800 Ultra with old drivers at somewhere around 1280x960 or 1600x1200. and remember how that ran?

Yeah, it better be playable on a 7800GT, as I was just forced to get one because my 6800GT died. I got the eVGA 7800GT CO clocked at 470/1100.

7800GT will not run the game maxed, but should get playable framerate at 1024x768 and maybe 1280x960 with at least medium settings, some may be alright turned up to high. Current cards will probably want to drop the HDR and soft shadows for performance increases.

You should be fine, this game will be optimized for SLI.
