I recently read on a website that to prolong the life of your GPU as well as keep it alot cooler is to get rivatuner and set the GPU fan to 100% all the time, can this be accomplished without using Rivatuner, either through the nVidia drivers, or...
I did a search for this but all I could find were either posts about 80-120mm fans or about the temps of various video cards...
Anyways, as of the moment it is not a big issue, my GPU runs 40 idle and max of 60 full load so it is not anywhere near the 80-90 threshold of damage.
BTW, I noticed my nVidia drivers set the shutdown threshold to 115c, is this actually how hot the card can get without taking damage, or is it a good idea to drop this temp down to a more reasonable 85-90?
BTW, it is the CO SE Edition.
