Do you think 2 Albatron 7600GT's would be good in an SLI setup. it's just for me and want to do a bit of gaming on it.

That'd be pretty cool, better than a 7900GT by a little bit. But you could get one 7900GT for $300 as opposed to 2 x 7600GTs for $360, so a single 7900GT would be a better solution overall.

In NZ, where the prices are very similar to Australian prices, an XFX 7600GT costs about $450, and a 7900GT costs about $750, so a 7900GT would be cheaper.

And by the way, Falcons rule. :)

It seems to me that one 7900GT would be a better solution and that seems to be the popular idea.

no, 7900GT is better than two 7600GT and it is cheaper at the same time. 7900 GT is about two times as powerful as 7600GT, while two 7600GT just give u 50% more performance than one 7600GT.

7900GTX has double momery bandwidth because of it's 256bit memory interface, and has double pipes(24 vs 12), and also 7900GT has more vertex shader.

as u see, SLI 7600GT is a complete waste of money, just go with 7900GT :) and u will get a better performance and u will pay less.

what's ur problem man ??, if two 7600GT is better than 7900GT in oblivion, it doesn't mean that it is better for all games
i saw benchmarks between 7800GTX and two 6800GS few months ago, and 7800GTX outperformed the two 6800GS.

and since 7600GT is about the same as 6800GS in performance, and 7900GT is better than 7800GTX, i conclude that 7900GT is better than two 7600GT.

and by the way i don't thing there is a bid difference between 21.4 and 21
