would two 7800gtx's in sli better than a 7900gtx? cuz if so ill just buy another 7800gtx, rather than sell it and buy a 7900gtx. which do you think is better?

The 6800gs looked to be on par with the 7600Gt for most games and beat it in a couple of games. I also noticed they tested a XFX 6800gs would an evga or BFG which usually run better equivalate to roughly the 7600gt?

Wow look at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130282

The core is only 100 mhz slower and the memory is only 20 mhz slower then a 7900 gtx and its only $359. I'll probaly pick up one of these when I build my comp in June. Then the G80 should come out soon after so I'll use EVGA's step up program. Can't beat that.

It's probably near it's max air OC (especially since it's a single slot cooler) and the 7900GTX can reach 700+mhz and 1800mhz memory on air pretty easilly.

What I think was really stupid of Nvidia is only sticking 256/128bit memory on the 7600GT! I mean it's still faster than the 6800GS, but it would of held a good increase in performance if they stuck 256bit on it instead. That's what is keeping me from buying it. I'll stick with the 7900GT ...

Yea I know but I really don't like OCing video cards. This should hold me over greatly until the g80 launches. Now those cards are going to be amazing. Thats gonna be a whole new level of performance, finally we will have a video card that is way ahead of the games (well for a while atleast).

Yea sli 7800gtxs would be better.

A 50mhz core OC and a 80mhz memory OC isn't worth an extra 60 dollars, especially since you can just OC with a simple overclocking utillity. Probably be better to buy a better heatsink with the 60 extra dollars and OC even more then that.

Yea now that I think of it I could just OC the $319 one to higher speeds then the $359 even with stock heatsink and fan.
