Default 7600GS vs 6600GT?

Hello. i was recently in a shop and i saw a few video cards but what got me was there was the price of a 6600GT 128mb PCI-E with SLI selling for 335$ AUD then there was a 7600GS 256mb PCI-E without sli for 220$ AUD.

I Was just wondering what card would be better for gaming (and remember ill never be using SLI.

Also i got a question. was it because the 6600GT had SLI technology that made it cost alot more? or is it just because that 6600GT would preform better in games than 7600GS because i always thought with nvidia the higher the number the better the card

Thanks

the 7600 GS is a better card. I really don't know why the 6600 is more expensive.

the 7600gs is by far better than the 6600gt and thats about all there is to it. the price is probably due to a combination of old stock and the store keeper being an idiot.

Then why you are sad ?? are you sad because your getting a better card at a cheaper price ?

7600GS is about %10-%20 faster than 6600GT, and also it has more memory. So, just get 7600GS
