750GB of Seagate HDD

I'll probably end up buying something like that to replace these numerous smaller drives, even 500GB is not very much as far as I am concerned

Mind you this thing probably ends up formatting out to like ~650GB
 
250gb sata2 = 99 dollars

540 = around 5 of those

5 x 250 = 1.25TB


its a waste of money but a step in the right direction :)

cant wait for 1TB hdd's
 
not to sound negative, but who the **** needs that. unless you download an enormous amount of uncompressed video to your computer for editing/encoding, or have the worlds biggest porn collection, there is no need for something big, not right now at least.
 
i have music and some TV shows from mythtv, and i am storing around 800gb of data.

only a small portion is porn :p


not to mention that games now take over a gig of space
